BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Frontman: ROB ZOMBIE Didn't Say 'Hello' To Us Once During Entire Tour

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE frontman Matt Tuck has "set the record straight" with regards to the abrupt end of the band's U.S. tour with ROB ZOMBIE following reports that they were forced to drop off the trek after Tuck publicly voiced his displeasure with the tour's conditions via the official BULLET message board.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE made headlines on BLABBERMOUTH.NET on April 6 when Tuck slammed ROB ZOMBIE in an online post, claiming that his band was "not being treated well" on the ZOMBIE tour and calling the headliners "money-grabbing fucks" for allegedly seling their t-shirts for $40 a piece and making the support bands do the same. "As I write this, I'm sitting on the fuckin' floor of the venue 'coz we don't have a dressing room again, 'coz fuckin' Zombie takes them all for him, his band and crew," Tuck wrote at the time. "Basically, we are shit to him, but fuck it — if this is what it takes to get a name over here, then it's gotta be done. I'm not one to fuck around with words, so yes, we are not being treated well on this tour. Oh yeah, we don't get a soundcheck either. Fuckin' pissed at this tour, man."

A few hours after making his original post, Tuckreturned to BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's official message board to apologize to Rob and Zombie's crew for his earlier remarks, explaining, "I was really out of it this morning and let shit on the road fuck with my hung-over head. I'm truly sorry if any of my comments about this tour were out of line and totally exaggerated. This is our first real tour in the States and with lots of personal shit happening to me from home I just lost it. We really have been totally fuckin' thrilled to have the chance to play on this tour and are grateful for every new fan we make. It means everything to us to be able to play our shit for new fans. I'm really sorry to have offended anyone and look forward to putting this behind and getting back to the metal."

In a brand new interview with Kal of Sirius Satellite Radio's Hard Attack (Channel 27),Tuck and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE drummer Michael "Moose" Thomas offered their explanation for the tour's abrupt ending — with BULLET being forced to leave the trek the day after Tuck's comments were originally published. The following is a brief excerpt from the chat, which aired on Wednesday, June 7:

Matt: There's been loads of like these stupid bullshit stories coming from [various places] so if people want to hear it, I'll put the record straight right now.

"People who have never been in a professional band before and toured for months and months, they don't understand how stressful it can be."

Kal: "Definitely. Everyone thinks you're out there partying."

Matt: "It's not like that. You're traveling for like 12 hours a day, you're waiting around for like 11 and a half, and you hit the stage for half an hour. That's it — that's your day, man.'

Kal: "It's 'Hurry up and wait.'"

Matt: "Exactly. There's not a lot to do. I just had a really bad fucking day. We're not used to… 'Cause of what we are in Europe, U.K. and Japan and stuff, we usually do our own shit, so we're not used to really being told what we can and can't do to such an extent. But really the thing that pissed us off was… No disrespect to ROB ZOMBIE or his band or anything; I wish I hadn't said anything, but I just had a bad day. But basically, we did 17 shows in total with him before we left the tour, and that doesn't include days off and stuff in between, and not once did he say a 'Hello' to me, the guys, our crew, anybody… And that pissed me off. That was total fucking disrespect."

Kal: "A lot of people don't realize… I have friends in bands too. When you go out supporting a headliner; First, you don't get the same facilities they do when it comes to changing rooms or anything like that; Second, merch-wise: basically, you have to match what they're [selling their shirts for] so you don't sell more than them. So if he's selling shirts for $100, $50, you have to match. You can't sell as many either, 'cause they don't want you to take away their sales. [Thirdly], when it comes to the performance, to the soundboard and everything, you don't get the full capacity of the board either — they cut that in half because they don't want the opener to be sounding better than the headliner."

Matt: "Someone knows the deal. Thank you, man."

Kal: "That's what it's like to be on the road. I know. That's why when I read that, I was like, 'I need to hear from these guys, 'cause I know what it's like...'"

Matt: "And the reason why I put it up on the board… It's our fuckin' board and I thought I had the right to speak — freedom of speech on my board. And it just pissed me off when people were coming on our message board saying, 'Why are your fucking t-shirt prices so high?' 'You fucking need to turn up. You're too quiet. I couldn't hear you.' I was like, 'Well, this is the deal, bro.' And I just wrote it..."

Kal: "It's very frustrating. I know what it's like."

Matt: "I know. And that was it. And I was like, 'Alright, whatever.' It was a sucky thing, but…"

Kal: "So the record was set straight."

Matt: "Yeah. That's it everybody. So hopefully people can put this on their web sites and shit and spread this around."

Kal: "Exactly."

Moose: "I hate Blabbermouth. Fuck Blabbermouth. Put that on Blabbermouth."

Kal: "All those media web sites just wanna get more readers and stuff."

Matt: "It's just juicy gossip sites, man. It's like, whatever."

Kal: "Exactly. You can't pay attention to it."

Moose: "Yeah. Get a real job, you cunts."
